Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic and Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly wanted to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester City could include Oleksandr Zinchenko in a deal to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon in the January transfer window.
The report suggests City manager Pep Guardiola is willing to part company with Zinchenko in January, and this could interest both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Celtic.
According to The Daily Mail (Transfer Live blog, 10:17am, August 9, 2018), the attacking midfielder turned down a £16 million move from Premier League champions City to Wolves in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).
According to Spanish outlet ABC, Celtic have expressed an interest in signing the the 21-year-old Ukraine international on loan (click here to read more).
The youngster – who earns £20,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac – has played just once in the Premier League so far this season, and it is hard to see him get too many chances in the coming months for the Citizens.

With City reportedly open to selling Zinchenko, perhaps Celtic and Wolves could have a chance of signing the Ukraine international in the January transfer window.
