Elmas has starred in Turkey and Spurs are reportedly ready to make a move.

Turkish Football have reported that Tottenham Hotspur have joined Manchester City and Sevilla in the race to sign Fenerbahce wonderkid Eljif Elmas.
The report claims that all three clubs have made an enquiry for the 19-year-old midfielder, who already has 65 senior appearances to his name since his professional debut in October 2015 – aged just 16.
Elmas started out at Macedonian side Rabotnicki, coming through the ranks to clock up 46 senior appearances in which he scored eight goals and created another eight strikes from holding midfield.
The five-time Macedonia international then joined Fenerbahce last summer, and has continued his meteoric rise under Phillip Cocu by becoming a regular in the side – over the likes of Mathieu Valbuena, Mehmet Topal and Mehmet Ekici.
He has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season, including in the Champions League qualifying loss to Benfica. Fener are currently struggling in the SuperLig, winning just two of eight games and sitting in 15th place.
The report claims Fener are desperate to keep Elmas until the end of the season, but are said to be willing to sell their p-and-coming star if the price is right. He has a contract until the summer of 2022.

Spurs are likely to be after a new central midfielder with doubts over the future of Mousa Dembele, as his contract expires next summer. Foreign sides will be able to land him on a pre-contract agreement from January 1.
Elmas, then, could become Dembele’s long-term replacement at Spurs, if Mauricio Pochettino can see off competition from both City and Sevilla.
