Former Rangers captain is thrilled by club’s start under Steven Gerrard.

Barry Ferguson has praised Steven Gerrard’s start as Rangers manager.
Rangers are competitive in the Scottish Premiership and very much in the title race, which looks to be the most open for years.
They have also reached the Europa League group stages and currently top their group, binning memories of last year’s horrific qualifying exit.
Ferguson said: “I think Rangers have been brilliant under Steven Gerrard this season.
“It’s just the away form they need to sort, and if they fix that, they’ve got a real chance of competing this year.”

Rangers’ domestic form has a strong home and away split. They have looked unbeatable at Ibrox but dropped too many cheap points on their travels.
It’s not that Rangers can’t play away. They came through tough away times in the Europa League in Croatia, Russia and Spain, most recently against Villarreal.
This weekend Rangers face a struggling Hamilton side away from home and three points are essential.
