Glasgow Rangers midfielder can benefit from Scott Arfield’s international exertions.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Scott Arfield has suffered a hamstring injury on international duty with Canada, the Daily Record report.
The severity of the injury is still being assessed, but combined with the travelling he has had to do over the past fortnight, he is unlikely to be rushed into a starting role for Rangers this weekend.
Rangers face Hamilton this weekend and this should be an opportunity for Graham Dorrans to compete for a starting place.
Dorrans has had a slow start to the season after suffering an injury ahead of pre-season.
He returned earlier than expected but has only played a bit part role, with Arfield a regular starter for Steven Gerrard’s side.
A potential absence for Arfield, whether it be one game, a fortnight or several weeks, gives Dorrans a shot at making a return.

Dorrans has failed to live up to his potential since his 2017 switch from Norwich.
This season he hasn’t really got started under Steven Gerrard, making three appearances for a total of 88 minutes of action.
When he does get his opportunity, Dorrans needs to take it.
