Glasgow Rangers continued their remarkable run of form at Ibrox as they beat the Scottish Premiership leaders.

After enjoying a famous European night in midweek, the Light Blues stormed to another 3-1 win at the weekend as they beat the Scottish Premiership leaders. The contest was not as dramatic as the clash with Rapid Vienna, but was arguably as notable a performance.
Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield put the home side 3-0 up inside 32 minutes against the previously-undefeated league leaders. But while they would comfortably secure the three points, Hearts sent up a slightly tense final 23 minutes as Jimmy Dunne beat Allan McGregor.
And Gerrard has suggested if he had one criticism of his side following the win, it would be that they did not manage to kill off the game as it forced him to hold off his final two substitutions until the final six minutes.

“Ovie had a tiny little bit of tightness, but it’s not a big problem so I wanted to give him a breather. But yeah, in the main, very positive day. If I’m being ultra-critical, we just got a bit sloppy towards the end.”

While Gerrard may have a criticism of his side, it is arguably another indicator of how far Rangers have come since he arrived in the summer. The Gers not only beat Hearts, but looked to be on course to embarrass them in the early stages.
Against a side that have not lost in the league this season, it was a superb performance. But Gerrard having a slight frustration should excite Rangers fans regarding what the future could hold.
