Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Rangers will take on Hearts at Ibrox in the league in a few hours’ time, and former Celtic forward Dalglish has suggested that having 50,000 fans behind them will be an advantage for the Gers.
Dalglish wrote in The Sunday Post: “Craig’s men already have the comfort of an eight-point lead over the Gers.
“But if the hosts receive similar backing today from their fans as they did on Thursday evening, then they will stand a very good chance of victory.
“Make no mistake, to have nearly 50,000 fans on your side should give you an advantage over the opposition.”

Big game
Hearts are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, and Rangers have to pick up all three points from the encounter in order to maintain their chances of winning the league title this season.
Gerrard’s side are eight points off the pace and two points behind bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, and the Ibrox club need to win this afternoon.
Rangers will head into the match against Hearts on the back of a 3-1 victory over Rapid Vienna at Ibrox in the Europa League and will fancy their chances of getting the better of their opponents this afternoon.
