Glasgow Rangers fans have another name to watch out for at Ibrox as Dapo Mebude scored a hat-trick in the reserves’ latest game.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Dapo Mebude after the forward made a devastating impact during the reserves’ 6-2 victory over Motherwell on Monday.
The Gers side that featured against Well included several players likely to be on Steven Gerrard’s radar, with summer signing Eros Grezda amongst those senior players to start. Grezda would score Rangers’ second as they took a 2-0 lead into the break.
Grezda was also one of those who was replaced at half-time, with Mebude coming on amongst the four changes. Unfortunately for Rangers, it appeared that they may be about to do well to get anything from the game as Motherwell then scored twice to level the contest up.
But Mebude worked his magic with a hat-trick in less than 20 minutes, while Andrew Dallas also got onto the scoresheet to help Rangers to an emphatic win.

It looks to be a fantastic time to be a Rangers fan right now, and part of the reason for that is the conveyor-belt of exciting youngsters that are forcing their way towards the first-team picture at Ibrox at the moment. Glenn Middleton has led the charge, but he has several names right behind him.
And the 17-year-old striker is proving to be one of those that Gerrard may not be able to ignore for too long as he continues to catch the eye when given a chance.

He is now backing up his promise and potential with plenty of goals. And with that lethal combination, it seems to be a matter of time before the teenager is threatening to follow Middleton’s path. A number of the supporters are clearly excited about what Mebude’s future looks like.
Here is the best of the reaction to the forward’s display in the 6-2 win…
