Some Glasgow Rangers fans have discussed whether the Gers should look to bring Steven Naismith back to Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to praise Steven Naismith’s performance during Scotland’s Nations League win, while a handful of the Ibrox faithful have suggested that they would love to see the forward return to the Gers at some stage.
Naismith was selected to lead the line at Hampden Park as Alex McLeish’s men looked to put the misery of their friendly defeat to Belgium behind them.
And while the Hearts ace missed a sitter in the first-half, he played a crucial role in the Scots’ 2-0 win over Albania. His header directly led to the own goal that gave the home side the lead shortly after half-time, while he made the points safe with just over 20 minutes to go as he headed the ball into an empty net.
It was the kind of performance that ultimately vindicated his selection ahead of Leigh Griffiths – and it was also a display that impressed a number of the Rangers fans on social media.

It is six years since the 31-year-old left the Light Blues, but he has been linked with a return in more recent times. Sky Sports reported in January that Rangers were considering a move for the forward before his initial move to Hearts.
And it appears that some supporters would not mind seeing Naismith back at Ibrox one day. Some have simply just praised his performance on social media – the fact that he kept Griffiths out of the starting lineup probably helped his popularity – while others have insisted that the Gers could do a lot worse than attempt to re-sign him at some stage in the future.
