Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have a gem in Alfredo Morelos, according to a well-known striker.

Colombia striker Radamel Falcao has tipped Rangers hitman Alfredo Morelos for a big future on the international scene.

Morelos made his Colombia debut this past weekend, and marked the occasion by setting up the winner.

The 22-year-old has been in very decent form for Rangers so far this season and has already managed a hat-trick for the Gers – against Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup.

Morelos, a £1 million signing from HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017, marked his first season at Ibrox with 18 goals, but he could and probably should better that this time around.

And it looks like the young South American has been given the nod of approval by the £50 million Monaco striker, who was substituted for Morelos against Venezuela.

“Alfredo Morelos is going to be a star for us,” he said via The Record. “When you look at attitude he has and commitment he shows, he’s ready to get to the top. He could be a big player for Colombia for years to come.

“I liked his work rate and he’s willing to learn. There’s a lot to like when you look at the kids coming though.

“He’s already playing for his country at such a young age and it’s clear he will be a regular for years to come.”

Morelos has six goals in 13 outings for Steven Gerrard’s side so far this season, and he’ll hope to improve on that this weekend against Dundee in Glasgow.
