Glasgow Rangers forward Joe Dodoo continues to struggle away from Ibrox while a Gers summer target was the hero.

After an underwhelming spell on Rangers’ books, it appeared to be a huge move for Joe Dodoo when he joined Blackpool on loan this season. It is difficult to see any Ibrox future for the forward if he cannot thrive with the League One side.
There have been positives and it is clearly too soon to write him off becoming a success at Bloomfield Road, but after their victory over Bradford City at the weekend, it would appear that the Gers-owned forward is facing an uphill battle trying to prove a point to Steven Gerrard.
After being substituted at half-time in their previous league game, Dodoo was an unused substitute in the Football League Trophy tie in midweek and was missing from the matchday squad altogether for the game against the Bantams.
With Blackpool 2-0 down with less than 10 minutes to go, it was looking as if the game may end with the kind of result that Dodoo needed – but certainly would not have wanted – as he now looks to force his way back into the team.

But Pool would turn the game around to win 3-2. And it was a Rangers summer target who scored the goal that completed the dramatic turnaround.
Interestingly, Tilt played the final minutes of Saturday’s game as a striker and was rewarded by scoring the home side’s third goal to bag the three points.

What is perhaps significant about that is that had Dodoo been included in the squad, he may have perhaps been a player the side turned to in the dying minutes to get that winning goal Blackpool were looking for.
It is not entirely clear why Dodoo was missing for the game, but if he was dropped, perhaps it would be fair to say that his hopes of salvaging his Rangers career have suffered a setback while a player that the Gers had their eye on in the summer has shown that he has another string to his bow after proving the hero as a makeshift striker.
