McKee has signed a full-time contract with the Rangers Under-18 side, as announced on Rangers Youth Academy’s official Twitter page.
The 16-year-old is a very talented and promising young striker who has already shown what he is capable of and has demonstrated his huge potential.
Linfield academy director and former Northern Ireland international forward Ferguson has spoken highly of young Rangers striker and Northern Ireland Under-17 international McKee.
Ferguson told Belfast Live about McKee: ”He is a centre forward who loves scoring goals. Chris isn’t the biggest player in the world.
“He’s not 6ft-plus. But he can hold the ball up well and uses his body. He gets himself in good positions and makes intuitive runs.”

Young talent
McKee is only 16 years of age, and it is clear that the Northern Ireland Under-17 international is not the finished article and has a lot of learning to do in the coming years.
The young striker, though, has the potential to make it big in the match, and what is important for the teenager right now is that he works hard and learns from his coaches.
As for the Rangers senior side, Steven Gerrard’s team need to put together a run of positive results in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
