Tottenham Hotspur wanted him two years ago, says Kevin Mirallas, who joined Fiorentina from Everton in the summer transfer window.

Mirallas joined Everton from Greek giants Olympiakos in the summer of 2012 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £6 million.
The 30-year-old winger moved to Italian side Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal from Premier League outfit Everton in the summer transfer window.
The Belgium international – who earns £70,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has revealed that Spurs wanted to sign him two years ago.
Calciomercato.it quotes Mirallas as saying: “There was also Tottenham who courted me. The charm of the Premier League, the opportunity to participate in the Champions League. New emotions. Instead nothing.”

Moving on
Mirallas is a good winger, but the Belgium international’s performances for the Toffees in recent times were not great.
The former Olympiacos star will hope to make an impact at Fiorentina in Serie A this season and rediscover his old form.
Fiorentina are a big club and will be aiming to challenge for a place in the top four in Serie A this season.
As for Everton, the Merseyside outfit are looking to break into the top six of the Premier League this season.
