Glasgow Rangers had Nottingham Forest-owned Peterborough United striker Jason Cummings on loan at Ibrox during the second half of last season.
Jason Cummings at Rangers
Cummings spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers, having moved to the Gers on loan from Forest in the Championship in England in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old striker struggled to make a huge impact at Rangers and could not establish himself in the Gers’ starting lineup.
The Scotland international moved to Peterborough in League One on loan from Forest in the summer transfer window.
Cummings is playing well for Posh at the moment, and has scored six goals and provided three assists in six League One appearances so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
The Scotland international has suggested why he did not succeed at Rangers or at Forest and is playing well for Peterborough at the moment.
The striker failed to make a massive impact at Forest in the first half of last season following his move from Hibernian in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Post to be worth £1 million, as he scored only one goal in 600 Championship minutes for the Reds, as reported on WhoScored.
Cummings told The Scottish Sun: “When I was on loan at Rangers last season, I barely played much and was mostly sitting on the bench.
“Coming here, I knew I was playing for a manager who wanted me starting in his team and I wanted desperately to play for a team headed by two strikers, rather than one.
“Forest and Rangers play one up front and normally opt to go with a big guy. I’m not the tallest so I am not a target man and you end up getting isolated.”

Aiming for promotion
Peterborough are going strong in League One at the moment and are aiming to win automatic promotion to the Championship.
Steve Evans’s are currently at the top of the league table with 19 points from seven matches, two points clear of second-placed Portsmouth.
