Rangers take on Ufa in the Europa League this afternoon…

Rangers staring line-up: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Katic, Flanagan; Jack, Arfield, Ejaria; Kent, Candeias, Morelos.

Rangers substitutes: Foderingham, Wallace, McCrorie, Halliday, Middleton, Sadiq, Lafferty.

Rangers are back in Europa League action this afternoon as they travel to Russia for the second leg of their final qualifying match against Ufa.

The Gers have come through two-legged tests against FK Shkupi, Osijek and Maribor, and are one game away from the group stage of the competition having beaten Ufa 1-0 at Ibrox last week thanks to Connor Goldson’s goal.

It promises to be a huge four days for new boss Steven Gerrard, as after such an impressive start, he must now guide Rangers into the Europa League and then take on Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

Gerrard’s team again features Allan McGregor in goal, and a very familiar back four of James Tavernier, Goldson, Nikola Katic and Jon Flanagan, with that five starting regularly under Gerrard so far.

Ryan Jack will protect the back four, with Scott Arfield brought back into the side to play alongside Ovie Ejaria in midfield, who has been excellent in his last two games for the Gers.

With Jamie Murphy out, Ryan Kent and Daniel Candeias start out wide, supporting lone striker Alfredo Morelos – and they will be looking for strong performances given that Eros Grezda is incoming.

Borna Barisic is cup-tied until the group stage whilst Kyle Lafferty is only on the bench, alongside Wes Foderingham, Lee Wallace, Ross McCrorie, Andy Halliday, Glenn Middleton and Umar Sadiq.
