Rangers are reportedly poised to sign Eros Grezda from Osijek as a replacement for Jamie Murphy but would Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo have been better?

Manager Steven Gerrard is seeking a direct replacement for Jamie Murphy after a cruciate ligament injury has ruled the winger out for the entire season.
Grezda will become Gers’ third signing from the Croatian top flight this summer following the additions of Nikola Katic and the 22-year-old’s Osijek teammate Borna Barasic – with Katic’s agent, Mladen Kliskinic, helping to identify the targets.
Should Gerrard have returned to Liverpool?
After being appointed boss, Gerrard has utilised his contacts at Anfield to bring in Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent on loan and Jon Flanagan permanently.
Yet instead of delving into the unknown of the Croatian league once again, would the 38-year-old have been better advised to capitalise on his pulling power with the Reds to land Sheyi Ojo?

The 21-year-old had previously attracted interest from Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion and has had temporary spells with Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the past.
A similar age to Grezda and able to play on the left flank, would a loanee with experience in English football have been a better replacement for Murphy?
