Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wants to bring Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons to Ibrox, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that Rangers are interested in securing the services of Newcastle winger Aarons in the summer transfer window.

Hull City in the Championship in England and Greek outfit AEK Athens are also claimed to be interested in the 22-year-old winger – who earns £14,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.

The Mirror has reported that Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is willing to send the former England Under-20 international out on loan this season.

Good signing for Rangers?

Aarons is a very talented and promising young winger, and the Englishman would be a good signing for Rangers for the 2018-19 campaign.

With Jamie Murphy injured, the Ibrox club could do with a winger this season, and the 22-year-old Newcastle man does fit the bill.

However, with Hull and AEK also reportedly interested, Rangers will face competition for Aarons this summer.
