Glasgow Rangers are reportedly hoping to try and bring Joe Worrall in to Ibrox this summer.

The 21-year-old has endured a frustrating time since Aitor Karanka arrived at the City Ground having not featured this term, and it would appear that the Gers stand an excellent chance of getting something done with the Record reporting that the Light Blues target is available for a loan move.
Despite his struggles to break into Karanka’s plans, it would undoubtedly be a major coup for Rangers if they were able to bring the youngster in as competition for the likes of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic – and that is highlighted by some of the rumours that surrounded Worrall in the most recent January window.

Getting Worrall in at Ibrox therefore, would be a fantastic piece of business for Rangers. He does not appear to be Karanka’s cup of tea, but he is still developing and would arrive with plenty of first-team experience under his belt, having made over 50 Championship appearances for the club.
And if there is perhaps scope for a permanent deal to be done further down the line, the eight-figure bid that arrived from the Premier League in January suggests that one of Gerrard’s final signings of the window could actually prove to be one of his most inspired acquisitions.
