Glasgow Rangers appear to be behind the idea of bringing Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall to Ibrox this summer.

The Daily Record claim that Rangers are interested in signing Worrall, as Steven Gerrard looks to improve his defensive options.

Rangers have been rock solid at the back so far this term, but they have a lack of options available behind their starting centre-backs.

And with Worrall struggling for game time at Forest, Rangers could benefit from bringing him in.

Indeed, the Ibrox crowd largely seem behind the idea of seeing Worrall in a Rangers shirt this season.

If Worrall did make the move to Rangers he would be in competition with Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic for a first-team place.

Katic and Goldson have both been in excellent form so far this season, but Worrall could offer some great competition for Gerrard’s side.
