Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want former Gers forward Kyle Lafferty back at Ibrox.
Kyle Lafferty at Rangers
Rangers are interested in signing former Ibrox forward Lafferty from Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts in the summer transfer window, according to The Edinburgh Evening News.
It has been reported that Rangers and Hearts are close to reaching an agreement over the transfer of the 30-year-old to Steven Gerrard’s side.
Hearts manager Levein, though, has said that the Northern Ireland international has not played his last game for his club.
Levein made the comments following Hearts’ Scottish League Cup tie against Dunfermline Athletic away from home on Saturday.
Lafferty, who was on the books of Rangers from 2008 until 2012, thew his shirt into the away end.
Levein told The Scottish Sun: “Kyle costs us a fortune. He does that every single week. So don’t read anything into that. Do I think that’s his last game? No.”

Future at Rangers?
Lafferty is showing his passion for Hearts, but one should not count out the forward moving to Rangers this month.
Hearts has one more game before the summer transfer window closes – against Kilmarnock away from home in the Scottish Premiership next weekend – and perhaps that could be the Northern Ireland international forward’s final game for Hearts.
