Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has impressed during his time in charge at Ibrox.

Rangers legend Barry Ferguson raved about the job being done by Steve Gerrard at Ibrox, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Record, highlighting how Rangers now look like a wonderfully well-drilled unit.
The former Liverpool and England skipper took over as manager of the Gers in the summer, and he has begun his tenure in earnest, reshaping his side into a solid, compact unit.
Rangers finished in third spot in the Scottish Premiership table last season, a full 12 points adrift of eventual champions Celtic, but many are tipping Gerrard’s men to push Brendan Rodgers’ side all the way this time around.
Ferguson, who made 421 appearances for Rangers during two separate spells with the club, offered high words of praise for the job being done by Gerrard at Ibrox, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Record:

“The supporters are seeing a well-drilled unit. That’s not easy to create in such a short space of time but Steve Gerrard has done it. It didn’t look like that under Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty last season. Some players didn’t know their jobs and it was a bit of a mishmash, all over the place and easy to beat at times.”
The Glasgow giants have taken four points from their opening two league games, including a hard-earned point away at Aberdeen, and next up for Gerrard’s men is a tricky trip to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock.
Rangers will be confident in their chances of returning to Ibrox with all three points, though, after their fine start to the campaign.
