Wes Foderingham has made an impressive start since joining Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers, with Steven Gerrard’s still unbeaten.

Steven Gerrard already looks to have made a great call at Glasgow Rangers by replacing Wes Foderingham with Allan McGregor.

Foderingham was Rangers’ number one throughout the whole of last campaign, and the goalkeeping positions was one that few expected Gerrard to take a long look at after arriving at Ibrox.

Foderingham had proven to be a fairly steady stopper during his time for Rangers, and looked capable of continuing as number one.

However, demoting him down the pecking order at Rangers and bringing in McGregor is already looking like a great call.

Gerrard has upgraded his goalkeeping options now, with McGregor proving his worth in Rangers’ last match.

The experienced stopper was brilliant, as Rangers kept a clean-sheet and made it past Maribor in the Europa League.

McGregor saved a penalty and made numerous excellent saves, as Rangers continued their impressive defensive record under Gerrard.

Rangers have still not conceded more than one goal in any game that Gerrard has taken charge of, and McGregor’s addition has been a major reason behind their solid backline.
