Matt Le Tissier has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the performance of Liverpool-owned forward Danny Ings for Southampton against Burnley.

Ings, who joined Southampton on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, featured for the Saints in their Premier League game against Burnley at St. Mary’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The 26-year-old forward did not start the match, but the England international came on as a substitute in the 56th minute.

Southampton legend Le Tissier was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Ings as well as that of the Saints’ team in the second half.

Le Tissier has also suggested on Twitter that Southampton signing Ings for £20 million would be a snip.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Southampton will have to sign Ings for an initial transfer fee of £18 million next summer plus £2m in add-ons after his season-long loan spell.
