Rangers will be looking to maintain their good run of form this afternoon when they take on St. Mirren at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.

Steven Gerrard’s side will head into the match against St. Mirren on the back of a 3-1 victory over NK Maribor in the first leg of the Europa League Qualifying third round tie.

The Gers kicked off their 2018-19 Scottish Premiership campaign with a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen away from home last weekend.

With Celtic losing on Saturday afternoon, Rangers will be determined to pick up all three points against St. Mirren tofay and make a real case for the Scottish Premiership title.

This is how Rangers will line up against St. Mirren at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon, including defender Borna Barisic, who is making his debut for the Gers following his move from NK Osijek in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £2.2 million.

Praise for Dave King

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has praised chairman Dave King and the club’s board for the signings so far in the summer transfer window.

The Gers have been quite busy so far this summer and have signed a number of players, including John Flanagan and Nikola Katic.

Gerrard told The Scottish Sun about King: “He’s been a great support to me, as have the board. Changing a lot of personnel in the squad, they have been very supportive.

“We’ve made changes at the training ground and we are about to make some changes at Ibrox. They’re buying into what we’re trying to do and supporting us in every department.”
