Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United and Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in the Premier League this afternoon.

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez looks on during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Chelsea at St. James Park on May 13, 2018 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to kick off their 2018-19 Premier League campaign with victory over Newcastle United this afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will take on Newcastle away from home at St. James’ Park in the league in around an hour’s time.

Spurs are aiming to challenge for the Premier League title this season, and it is imperative that the North London outfit pick up all three points this afternoon.

Newcastle fought for survival for much of last season, and one suspects that Rafael Benitez’s side will be battling against relegation this campaign as well.

The Magpies will be confident of producing a good performance against Tottenham, as they have home advantage.

Although Tottenham have the better team, Newcastle will fancy their chances of winning this afternoon.
