Everton spent heavily during this summer's transfer window.
Michael Owen backed Everton to finish in seventh place in the Premier League table this term, when writing a blog for BETVICTOR, and shared what everyone has been telling him about the Toffees ahead of the season.
Everton boss Marco Silva has spent heavily this summer, bringing in a whole host of new faces to the tune of almost £90 million, and many fans and pundits alike are backing them to make a sustained push for the European places this season.
The Blues endured an incredibly difficult Premier League campaign last term, finishing in eighth spot in the table, a full 14 points adrift of sixth placed Arsenal, so they will have to show vast improvements this season, if they are to challenge the big boys.
Owen, who was often Everton's arch nemesis during his playing days with Liverpool, backed the Toffees to finish in seventh spot this season, when writing a blog for BETVICTOR, and shared how much praise he has heard for the job being done by Marco Silva already:
"Everyone I have spoken to about Marco Silva has been full of praise for the new Everton manager and I think the Blues will win the division without the “Big Six” this term. The Blues have struggled for goals in pre-season – save their opening 22-0 success in Austria- but they have had to do without Theo Walcott and Evertonians will be looking forward to seeing their likely front three of Theo Walcott, Cenk Tosun and Richarlison."
Everton kick off their new Premier League campaign with a trip to Molineux to take on Wolves tomorrow, and Silva's men will have to be at their very best, if they are to return to Merseyside with anything to show for their efforts.
