After helping Wolverhampton Wanderers to last season's Championship title, Alfred N'Diaye is on the move - but the midfielder won't be turning out in Cardiff City or Middlesbrough colours.

HITC Sport understands the pair were interested in signing N'Diaye, whose spell at Wolves was his second in England after half-seasons at Sunderland and Hull City.

But the 28-year-old is staying in Spain for now, after signing for Malaga on loan from Villarreal.

Wolves brought in Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker to fill the void left by N'Diaye, with Cardiff eventually turning to Victor Camarasa and Harry Arter instead.
