Report: Glasgow Rangers' Josh Windass turned up to get on bus but quickly left amid exit rumours

Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are seemingly set to sell Josh Windass to Ipswich Town.

The Guardian live transfer blog (13:36, 9th August) reports that Glasgow Rangers man Josh Windass turned up to get on the bus for Maribor, but then left on his own.

Rangers are travelling to Ibrox together for their Europa League squad tonight, but Windass' exit is interesting, given the rumours over this future.

 

The Scottish Sun reported that Ipswich Town have agreed a fee to sign the attacking midfielder, with Steven Gerrard suggesting that a sale was possible.

Rangers’ asking price for Windass is has seemingly been met, with the player now set to travel down to England to seal a move.

Windass is a player who often divides opinion at Ibrox, with the 24-year-old criticised at times.

The former Accrington man does have a productive goalscoring record for Rangers though, and has managed to find the back of the net fairly frequently.

Rangers may be on the look out for further additions over the remainder of the transfer window to cover for the absence of Windass, if he does leave.
