Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa wants to end Muhamed Besic's Everton frustration [source: Daily Mirror printed edition, page 61].

Midfielder Besic is being targeted by Leeds in a £4.5 million deal, after spending the second half of last season away from Everton at Middlesbrough.

Sticking with Everton, the Toffees have set an asking price of £30 million for Ademola Lookman, who like his Leeds-linked teammate was shipped out of Goodison Park on loan in January [source: Daily Mirror live blog, 01:28].

 

And Lookman impressed so much that then-takers RB Leipzig have made several unsuccessful attempts to sign the winger on a permanent basis.

Back to the Championship, Sam Clucas is set to undergo a medical at Stoke City on Thursday, after the Potters made an £8 million bid for the Swansea City midfielder [source: the Sun]

Unlike Burnley, who pulled out of a deal for Clucas, Stoke are not concerned by the fact he is due to spend a month on the sidelines.

West Brom's offer is well below the Gers' £3 million valuation of the player, although Steven Gerrard's side are braced for further approaches.

There could also be disappointment for West Brom's local rivals, Aston Villa, after Joe Bryan pied them for Fulham [source: the Sun].
