Rangers are looking to let Greg Docherty leave Ibrox on loan.

According to The Scottish Sun, Burton Albion are keen to take Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty on loan, with Gers boss Steven Gerrard keen to sanction a move.
The Gers have added Lassana Coulibaly, Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria in the heart of midfield this summer, and it’s no great surprise that somebody needs to leave the Rangers midfield ranks.
Those three signings have joined Ross McCrorie, Ryan Jack, Graham Dorrans, Jordan Rossiter and Andy Halliday, as well as Docherty, with at least one of them needing to go.
Docherty needs playing time the most at this stage of his career, and it seems that Gerrard is willing to let him head out on loan this month – preferably to an English club before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The Scottish Sun now report that Burton Albion are keen to land Docherty, with ex-England international and Brewers boss Nigel Clough looking to lure the Scot to League One.
Burton have shopped in Scotland recently with deals for Scott Fraser, David Templeton and Liam Boyce, and they may now pursue a deal for Docherty to boost their squad before Thursday.

Clough was a Liverpool first-teamer when Gerrard was coming through the ranks at Anfield, and they may well have a rapport that will help them agree to a deal this week.
Docherty showed initial promise following a January move from Hamilton Academical, and the boyhood Rangers fan will be hoping to go out and play first-team football before returning to Ibrox next summer.
