Morelos was sent off during Rangers’ draw against Aberdeen on Sunday.

Nikola Katic has defender striker Alfredo Morelos on Instagram after the Rangers forward was sent off in the 12th minute of Steven Gerrard’s Scottish Premiership bow as Gers manager against Aberdeen.
Rangers got off to an excellent start but Morelos was shown a straight red card for lashing out at defender Scott McKenna, after being provoked by the Dons defence following a couple of shoulder barges off the ball.
The 22-year-old striker was spotted by the linesman in attempting to kick Dons defender McKenna, and was shown the red card. Despite going down to 10 men, Rangers impressed at Pittodrie and almost snatched the win.
But Bryce Anderson’s injury-time winner secured a point for Derek McInnes’ side, after James Tavernier had given Rangers the lead from the penalty spot in the first half.
Katic defended Morelos, though, on Instagram by posting a picture with the Colombian striker and captioning it with “win and lose as a team”.

Katic continued his excellent start to life with the Light Blues alongside Connor Goldson, as the shut out Aberdeen right until the last minute with some excellent defending that saw goalkeeper Allan McGregor have little to do.
However, the draw sees Rangers already slip two points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic, after Brendan Rodgers’ side earned a comfortable 3-1 win over Kenny Miller’s Livingston on Saturday.
Rangers are next in action on Thursday night, as they face Slovenian giants Maribor in the third round of Europa league qualifying. They play at Ibrox, before welcoming newly-promoted St. Mirren on Sunday.
