Glasgow Rangers kicked off their Scottish Premiership season with a draw as the Ibrox side endured a challenging afternoon.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Lassana Coulibaly’s display in the Gers’ opening game of the new Scottish Premiership season which saw the Gers come away from Aberdeen with a point.
It was a difficult afternoon for Steven Gerrard’s side as Alfredo Morelos was sent off for an off the ball incident inside the first 12 minutes at Pittodrie. Rangers however, took the setback in their stride and responded superbly.
Josh Windass won a penalty that was converted by James Tavernier on the half-hour mark, and it appeared that Rangers were going to kick their campaign off by securing three points as the game reached stoppage-time at the end of the second-half.
However, Bruce Anderson managed to find the bottom corner in the 93rd minute to ensure that the points were shared. Despite the late goal, it was an encouraging performance for Rangers in many ways.

Coulibaly was certainly one who caught the eye of the supporters. The 22-year-old was making only his third appearance for the Gers following his loan switch from Angers, but there are already a number of fans who wish to see the youngster remain beyond the end of his loan.
Many felt that the Mali international was superb in the middle of the park alongside Ryan Jack and are excited to see how he develops during his year with Rangers.
