Tottenham Hotspur fans have criticised Fernando Llorente’s performance, despite beating AC Milan in a pre-season friendly in America.

Llorente was selected to start up-front for Spurs last night, as Maurcio Pochettino’s side picked up a 1-0 victory.

Llorente has featured regularly over pre-season, and actually has found his scoring touch.

But the Spurs striker struggled last night, and Tottenham fans were less than impressed with what they saw.

Llorente’s future at Spurs remains unclear, as the transfer window draws closer to finishing.

The Spanish striker has gone on record to state that he wants first-team football, but he is happy to stay at Spurs.

Pochettino has also not confirmed whether Llorente will be shifted on, or kept in Spurs’ line-up.

With Harry Kane still not returning from the World Cup, Llorente could be tasked with starting in Spurs’ opening Premier League match.
