According to a report from the Daily Mail, Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish has already told his teammates that he wants to join Tottenham this summer, although a deal for the 22-year-old is becoming increasingly less likely with a every day that passes.
Spurs' hopes of signing the Villa man have taken a hit over this past week, with new billionaire owners taking over the west Midlands club.
Villa's new-found financial security means that they are not in such desperate need to sell their star man.
The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham are still hoping to sign Grealish for £20 million, and the 22-year-old has even told his teammates that he wants to join Mauricio Pochettino's side.
Villa want more than that amount, though, and are determined to beat Daniel Levy at his own game.
Spurs are currently in the midst of somewhat of a midfield injury crisis, and they could certainly do with someone like Grealish at the club.
In order to bring the 22-year-old to north London, though, Levy might just have to admit defeat, and pay the Villans more than he wants to for the talented midfielder.
The Daily Mail claims that Villa want £35m for Grealish, and in today's day and age, that would still be decent value for money for Tottenham.
