West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough are both said to be keen on snapping up Queens Park Rangers’ Luke Freeman.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has tweeted that Luke Freeman is not for sale, amid reported interest from West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough.

TeamTalk claim that West Brom and Middlesbrough have been alerted to Queens Park Rangers’ financial situation and now want to take their star attacker off them.

However, Fernandes’ seems defiant in the face of the interest, and has issued a public hands off warning to any club wishing the sign Freeman.

Freeman was a vital player for QPR last term, and losing him would be a major blow for Steve McClaren’s side.

West Brom and Boro are two of the favourites for promotion this term though, and have already shown that they have money to spend.

The Baggies have brought in a clutch of new faces to the Hawthorns, while Boro have signed the likes of Aden Flint and Paddy McNair.

QPR begin their season with a match against Preston on Saturday, and it seems that Freeman will be a part of McClaren’s starting line-up.
