According to Birmingham Live, Aston Villa’s new owners are planning to make an offer for Robert Snodgrass at West Ham United, and that would surely be the best transfer they could make this summer.

Snodgrass spent last term on loan at Villa from West Ham, and the winger became hugely popular at Villa Park.

Villa took on West Ham in a pre-season match earlier this summer, and Snodgrass was given a hero’s welcome by the claret and blues’ crowd.

It seemed impossible that Villa would be able to bring Snodgrass back this term, but after a takeover bid, the Scot is now back on Steve Bruce’s side’s radar.

And if Villa can bring Snodgrass back to the Midlands then the new owners’ popularity will instantly be raised.

Villa supporters have been craving a Snodgrass return throughout the transfer window so far, and if they can pull off the signing of the West Ham man, then it would be the best piece of business they do all summer.
