It appears that Leeds are edging closer to getting a deal done to bring Barry Douglas to Elland Road, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Whites have agreed personal terms with the Wolves defender.

The Elland Road faithful have been waiting for their summer to ignite. Marcelo Bielsa has been able to complete two signings so far this window, but both have been loan arrivals.

Many Leeds fans were given something to smile about in the wake of Tuesday night's 4-3 defeat to Oxford United with the Mail reporting that the Whites had seen a bid accepted for the 28-year-old who was superb during Wolves' Championship title win last season.

And the Mail has now provided an update, suggesting that Douglas has already agreed personal terms with Leeds - seemingly taking the move to the brink of being completed.

Douglas would arguably be the kind of signing that would get the supporters on side after a slow start to the window. Time is running out before the new Championship season begins, and their first opponents Stoke City have shown plenty of intent in the market as they look to get promoted at the first attempt.

Leeds fans will know that the Whites cannot afford for Douglas' potential arrival to be the last this summer, but signing the full-back will certainly be a brilliant way for the Andrea Radrizzani, Victor Orta and Bielsa to announce that their window has kicked into life.
