Newcastle United take on Hull City in a pre-season friendly this evening.

Newcastle United starting line-up: Darlow; Yedlin, Lascelles, Yarney, Roberts; Shelvey, Diame; Ritchie, Longstaff, Murphy; Joselu.

Newcastle United substitutes: Dubravka, Woodman, Sterry, Manquillo, Clark, Hayden, Ki, Aarons, Fernandez, Perez.

Newcastle United play just their second pre-season game this evening as they make the short trip to Humberside to take on Championship side Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

The Magpies beat St. Pat's Athletic 2-0 in their first pre-season game last week, and are back in action tonight as they look to grab another win ahead of the new Premier League season.

Rafael Benitez hasn't been able to make major changes to his squad this summer, and has named a mixture of youth and experience in tonight's starting line-up.

Karl Darlow starts in goal, whilst regulars DeAndre Yedlin and Jamaal Lascelles are joined in defence by youngsters Josef Yarney and Cal Roberts, with the latter playing at left back despite being a winger by trade.

Jonjo Shelvey and Mohamed Diame reprise their roles in central midfield, whilst Jacob Murphy and linked-away Matt Ritchie start on the flanks, with no place in the squad for Kenedy or Christian Atsu.

Sean Longstaff is handed a start as a number 10, and will support lone striker Joselu, as Dwight Gayle is also unavailable this evening, whilst Aleksandar Mitrovic is on a break having played at the World Cup this summer.

Martin Dubravka, Freddie Woodman, Jamie Sterry, Javi Manquillo, Ciaran Clark, Isaac Hayden, new signing Ki Sung-yueng, Rolando Aarons, Victor Fernandez and Ayoze Perez are all named on the Newcastle bench tonight.
