Crystal Palace are reportedly hoping that they can convince Yaya Toure to finish his career at Selhurst Park.

Toure is now a free agent after leaving Manchester City at the end of last season in the wake of their third Premier League triumph. The 35-year-old played more of a peripheral role last term, but will undoubtedly go down as one of the finest midfielders of the modern era after more than 300 appearances for the Cityzens in all competitions.
The report adds that Toure has moved to London from the north-west and wants to play for a club from the capital, which will undoubtedly hand Roy Hodgson’s men a boost and probably help put them right at the front of the queue assuming that there are not too many sides interested in putting a six-figure offer on the table for a 35-year-old.

Toure may be edging towards the end of his career, but he could still prove to be a fantastic signing on a free transfer if Crystal Palace manage to get him through the door.
He obviously boasts an enormous amount of quality and can provide some versatility. And it would be little surprise if some of Palace’s other targets found a Selhurst Park switch more appealing if Toure was going to be a teammate next season.
