Ryan Kent is a very talented footballer, and there is no surprise that Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring the Liverpool winger to Ibrox on loan, with Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers also claimed to be interested.

According to Goal.com, Scottish Premiership club Rangers and Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds want to sign Kent on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.

With competition for places in the Liverpool attack fierce, the 21-year-old winger will struggle to play for the Reds’ senior team next season, and it would make sense for the English youngster to move to another club on loan for the 2018-19 campaign.

Rangers appears to be that club. According to The Scottish Sun, Gers manager Steven Gerrard has persuaded Liverpool to send Kent on a season-long loan deal to Ibrox this summer.

The Scottish Sun has claimed that Rangers have beaten Blackburn to the signature of Kent, and that Liverpool legend Gerrard has convinced the Reds that he will use the winger properly next season.

Good signing for Rangers?

Gerrard reportedly plans to use Kent as a first-team starter next season, and this suggests just how highly the Rangers manager rates the Liverpool winger.

Although the English youngster has struggled to make a breakthrough in the Liverpool first team, the 20-year-old winger’s performances during his loan spells at Barnsley and Coventry City in recent years have been quite encouraging.

Rangers have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far, having signed Scott Arfield, Nikola Katic, Connor Goldson and Jon Flanagan.
