Glasgow Rangers defender Lee Hodson has reportedly been told by Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard that he can leave the Gers.

Rangers defender Lee Hodson has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox since his move to the Gers in the summer of 2016, and former Celtic central defender Alan Stubbs is reportedly interested in handing him an escape route.
Stubbs, who played for Celtic from 1996 until 2001, is now in charge of St. Mirren, who won promotion from the Scottish Championship to the Scottish Premiership at the end of last season.
According to The Scottish Sun, St. Mirren manager Stubbs wants to sign Hodson from Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told the Northern Ireland international right-back that he can leave the Gers this summer.
“It’s understood Steven Gerrard has told the full-back he is surplus to requirements, with Gers’ chiefs set to offer a pay deal to go,” states the report in The Scottish Sun.

Good move for Lee Hodson?
Hodson has failed to establish himself as a regular for Rangers over the past two seasons, and it is clear that the Northern Ireland international right-backs not going to get much playing at Rangers if he remains at Ibrox.
If St. Mirren are willing to sign Hodson, then the former Watford and Milton Keynes Dons right-back should take up that chance.
