Glasgow Rangers should consider ramping up reported interest in Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has certainly enjoyed a busy transfer window so far at Ibrox, but he could still do with some more key additions to fill the balance of his squad.
They were hardly convincing in the 2-0 Europa League win over FC Shkupi in Gerrard’s first competitive match in charge and a few more fresh faces would be a positive.
The Light Blues are interested in signing defender Curtis Tilt from League One English club Blackpool according to the Scottish Sun.
It is understood they could turn to the 26-year-old if they miss out on alternative defensive target Jake Cooper at Millwall, who they have bid £3million to try to sign.
The report details that Blackpool want at least £1million for their centre-back Tilt and that Rangers will have to fend off interest from Ipswich if they want to sign him after they made an opening offer of £550,000.

The Gers do now have powerhouse centre-back Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic as options in the heart of defence, but both are very similar in style.
Tilt could provide a fresh option at Ibrox in the back line due to the fact he is left-footed and is clearly a highly-rated player in-demand that has risen up the footballing ladder in England during recent years.
Gerrard does look a little short of options in his defence ahead of what is going to be a long gruelling season and picking up ball-playing centre-back Tilt for a £1million fee could turn out to be a bargain.
The Blackpool defender is being tipped to play at a higher level and a switch to Scottish football could be perfect for his development, where the pulling factor of Gerrard should come into play.
