Some Leeds United fans on Twitter reckon that Marcus Antonsson was never given a chance to prove himself, amid reports that he is set to leave.
According to Expressen, the 27-year-old hitman will join Malmo after undergoing a medical with the Swedish club today.
Antonsson joined Leeds for £2 million [Yorkshire Evening Post] under Garry Monk two years ago, but managed only league six starts for United and didn't make a single Championship appearance during the second half of the 2016-17 campaign after being exiled by Monk.
The former Kalmar striker joined Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan last term, and scored seven goals in 22 League One starts to give rise to suggestions that he could fight for his place at Leeds this summer.
However, it looks like Antonsson is finally on the way out of Elland Road, and here's how some Leeds fans reacted:

Yes, if we don't plan to play him then why should we pay for his wages...? I think he's a good player, so good luck to him!— Oystaba (@Lyargutten) July 13, 2018
No surprise, yet you thought he would be given a chance next season?— Jamie (@Jimbo86_) July 13, 2018
In Leeds' defence, that is now four experienced coaches - Monk, Thomas Christiansen, Paul Heckingbottom and Marcelo Bielsa - who haven't deemed Antonsson to be sufficient quality in the Championship.
It's true that he hasn't had much chance to prove himself, but you have to be good enough in the first place to earn that chance and it's unlikely that Antonsson was ever good enough.
