AS Roma have told Chelsea and Liverpool that they have until the end of the month to sign Alisson in the summer transfer window, according to The Times.

According to Calciomercato.com, Premier League duo Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in securing the services of the 25-year-old Brazil international goalkeeper this summer.

It makes sense for Roma to set a deadline to Chelsea and Liverpool for Alisson, as the Italian club themselves will need to sign a suitable replacement if they lose the Brazil international goalkeeper.

One suspects that Roma will not want to lose the former Internacional star given his importance to the team, but money talks.

Chelsea do not need a goalkeeper right now, as in Thibaut Courtois, the Blues one of the best custodians in Europe.

Liverpool, though, could do with someone like Alisson, who would be an upgrade on the goalkeepers the Reds already have - Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.

The Merseyside outfit will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title during the 2018-19 campaign.
