Football London have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur teenager Jaden Brown is set to return to north London after an successful trial with Dutch club NEC Nijmegen.

The 19-year-old left-footer remains well down the pecking order at Spurs with a whole host of talent ahead of him in the pecking order, including Ben Davies, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters.

However, Brown is certainly Spurs' best left-back outside of the first team, after making 17 Premier League 2 appearances last term as well as scoring against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Youth League.

But Brown seems to be on the lookout for a move away from Spurs, after Keanan Bennetts joined Gladbach for £2million, while Noni Madueke joined PSV Eindhoven and Christian Maghoma moves to Arka Gdynia.

He went on trial with NEC last week, who are currently in the second tier of Dutch football but tipped for promotion ahead of the upcoming season. He even featured in NEC's traditional friendly against NEC's amateurs, which they won 7-0.

But it seems as though England Under-19 international Brown has not done enough to earn a new deal, and will now return to Spurs with hos options likely to remain open.
