Rangers begin their 2018-19 season on Thursday against FK Shkupi.
Rangers winger Jamie Murphy cannot contain his excitement to begin Rangers' 2018-19 season on Thursday night as the Gers prepare to face Macedonian outfit FK Shkupi in the Europa League qualifying stages.
The 28-year-old is expected to start for Steven Gerrard's new-look side on Thursday at Ibrox, as the former Liverpool and England captain begins his first foray into management with the Light Blues.
Murphy is one of nine Rangers signings after completing a permanent move to Ibrox this summer, following an excellent start to life with the Gers during his loan spell from Brighton where he scored five and created 10 in just 19 games.
The winger posted on Twitter ahead of Thursday's clash, with a video of fans celebrating last season's goals to the tune of Bonnie Tyler's 'Simply The Best', which Rangers run out of the tunnel to at Ibrox.
Murphy earned his first Scottish caps after the end of the 2017-18 season with appearances against Costa Rica and Peru and remains the club's first-choice winger alongside Daniel Candeias - after starting against Bury in the 6-0 win.
Rangers will be hoping for a positive result in the first leg to take to Macedonia next week, and produce a much better showing than their dismal effort which saw them lose to Progres Niederkorn last summer.
