Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has clinched his transfer to Manchester City.

The Algerian completed his £60 million move to the reigning champions yesterday, adding even more strength to a team which reached a record setting 100 points last season.

Mahrez has already won the title once, most improbably with Leicester in 2015/16.

Leicester fan Gary Lineker has reacted to his move, and does not begrudge Mahrez his exit.

Leicester did not challenge for the title last season or even the Champions League places and Mahrez understandably wants to move on, having had a taste of success.

The former footballer of the year did not jump ship after Leicester's title success despite transfer interest, and spent another two years at Leicester.

Now Leicester have £60 million to spend, a pretty nice parting gift from a player who has already given the club so much.
