The 28-year-old joined West Ham from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £7 million, and he has gone on to rack up an impressive 21 goals and 11 assists in 90 appearances for the east London outfit.
Antonio would be an excellent addition to the Magpies' squad, and he would offer Rafa an entirely different option to what he currently possesses in his wide attacking department.
The Englishman is wonderfully versatile, and can operate in a wide range of positions including right and left wing, right-back and even as an auxiliary centre-forward.
Antonio is powerful, quick and possesses an impressive engine. His direct playing style would undoubtedly help Newcastle improve upon the potency of their play in the final third, and for just £15 million, he could turn out to be a real coup for the Toon.
With Matt Ritchie being touted for an exit from St James' Park, Rafa will obviously have to bring in an able bodied replacement, and the West Ham man would be a cheaper, and arguably more effective alternative to reported target Andros Townsend.
Antonio really is a top class player, and he would surely prove to be a real hit at Newcastle.
