Nottingham Forest and Derby County are said to be among the clubs chasing Jack Marriott.

Both Jack Marriott and Marcus Maddison have been left out of Peterborough United’s squad for their first friendly against Stamford tonight, suggesting that they are close to moves.

Nottingham Forest and Derby County have been strongly linked with Marriott in recent times, in the Nottingham Post.

And it seems that the striker could be inching closer to the exit at Peterborough.

The rest of Posh’s first-team players are all lining up against Stamford, but any players close to a move have been left out.

And Peterborough owner Darragh MacAnthony confirmed that Marriott and Maddision were not in the squad.

Forest are believed to be very keen on Marriott, who scored 33 goals last term.

Aitor Karanka is on the hunt for a new striker, and Marriott is definitely thought to be one of his options.

Derby are also keen on a new frontman, and Marriott has been eyed up as a potential replacement for Matej Vydra, who is set to depart.
