Celtic’s reported bid for Hibernian’s John McGinn has been rejected.

John McGinn has been in the transfer columns for a while now, with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers, Derby County and Celtic all reported to be interested in the Hibernian midfielder over the summer.

The Scottish Sun has credited Celtic, Rangers and Leeds United with interest in the Scotland international, with Hibs reported to want £5m as transfer fee, while The Sun has claimed that Frank Lampard’s Derby want him this summer.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic have had a bid of £1.5 million for McGinn turned down by Hibernian, who want more money for him.

The Daily Record has claimed that the Hoops will make an improved offer for the former St. Mirren star.

Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Celtic’s reported bid for McGinn, and has given his take on the future of the Hibernian midfielder, suggesting what it would take for the Glasgow giants to complete the signing of the youngster.
