Passlack became Norwich City's sixth summer signing on Monday.
Norwich City's loan signing of Felix Passlack from Borussia Dortmund is causing quite a stir on Twitter.
Passlack has played 21 times for Dortmund, the club whose second team used to be managed by Norwich boss Daniel Farke, and won caps for Germany at various youth levels.
And despite having struggled to make an impact while on loan to Hoffenheim last season, the 20-year-old's arrival for a season long stay at Carrow Road has caused fans of various other clubs to take note.
This is what they're saying...
Norwich have signed Passlack and Watford have got Masina? Top signings tbf.— The Chipsy King (@CallCrookes) 2 July 2018
@BoiiToddy You've done well there. He's a great player.— Owen Fossitt-Clay (@PeasantOwenFC) 2 July 2018
Decent loan signing that— Wiggz ⚽️ (@WiggzLFC) 2 July 2018
Norwich getting Passlack is an insane buy. There aren’t many good right backs around and considering how young he is they pulled a blinder there— usman (@usman_94_) 2 July 2018
And some of those who know him best have been having their say as well...
We wouldn't have loaned Passlack to Norwich if we didn't have him in our long term plans. A season long loan to a Daniel Farke coached side in a decent league is perfect for his development. If we were done with him we'd have sold him or loaned him for 2 years to like Mainz— Macimilian☘️ (@BorussianMyth) 2 July 2018
Personally don’t think Passlack will reach the level to be a starter for Dortmund but I’d gladly be wrong. Be that as it may, Norwich under Farke seems like a good place for him to learn and hopefully play a lot.— Luca (@FearTheKirch) 2 July 2018
Can't believe we are sending passlack on loan again.— paula (@mooonlightbby) 2 July 2018
Shame. I wanted to see more of Felix Passlack at Dortmund. Hope he does well at Norwich (BVB III) after very few chances at Hoffenheim.— Kevin McGuinness ⚜️ (@FussbalIKevin) 2 July 2018
Horrible, couldn't even perform for our second team in the 4th division. But according to Nagelsmann he made some progress in training during the second half of the season.♀️— David (@Widda__) 2 July 2018
A recognised right-back, Passlack is equally comfortable on the opposite side of defence and has spent time on both wings as well as in a central attacking midfield role throughout his career.
He becomes the sixth new face to arrive at Norwich this summer, after Kenny McLean, Emi Buendia, Ben Marshall, Teemu Pukki and former teammate Moritz Leitner - who is technically not a new face at all, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Carrow Road.
Will the Dortmund talent get back to his best at Norwich?
